This Privacy Policy explains how personal data of users (“User”) of the UseFinLit mobile application (“App”) is collected, used, stored, and protected. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information: email address, display name, profile photo
- Learning data: lesson progress, quiz results, earned badges and XP
- Virtual portfolio data: virtual trade history, portfolio values
- Technical data: device type, operating system, app version
- Subscription information: payment status (payment details are managed by Apple/Google)
- Social sign-in data: identity information provided by Apple or Google when you sign in with them (email, stable user identifier, name on first sign-in)
1a. Sign in with Apple
When you use “Sign in with Apple”, Apple shares a stable, unique user identifier tied to your Apple ID, your email address, and (optionally, only on your first sign-in) your name with us. If you choose Apple’s “Hide My Email” option, we never receive your real email — Apple instead provides a relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com and all our email communication goes through that address. Your name is only sent by Apple on the first sign-in, not on subsequent ones. These data points are used solely to create your account and authenticate you.
2. How We Use Your Data

- Track learning progress and operate gamification features like streaks and badges
- Generate AI-powered educational feedback
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
3. Data Sharing
Your personal data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may only be shared in the following cases: legal requirements, subscription verification with payment processors (Apple/Google), and anonymous trade data with AI analysis service providers.
4. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS encrypted connections. Passwords are stored hashed with bcrypt algorithm. Server access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion request, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
6. Your Rights

7. Children’s Privacy
UseFinLit is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
9. Not Investment Advice / No Claims
This Privacy Policy describes how UseFinLit handles user data. For absolute clarity, we restate here the educational nature of the App: UseFinLit does not provide investment advice. The App is an educational simulation, not a financial advisory service, and it is not a licensed brokerage or regulated financial services provider.
All virtual trades, virtual portfolios, virtual balances, virtual profit/loss amounts, simulated leaderboard rankings, badges, levels, and any other simulation outputs in the App are for educational purposes only and have no monetary value whatsoever. The virtual balance cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, gifted, used as a means of payment, or converted into any real-world asset. The virtual currency does not represent any fiat currency, cryptocurrency, security, stock, or any financial instrument.
No rights, dividends, profits, compensation, refunds, products, services, or claims of any kind may be asserted, against UseFinLit, Mergebase LTD, its affiliates, or any third party, on the basis of the virtual portfolio balance, virtual profit/loss, leaderboard ranking, badges, levels, or any simulation output whatsoever. No guarantee is made that simulation results will be reproduced under real market conditions; past simulation performance is not indicative of future real-market results. Real investment decisions must be based solely on personalized advice from a licensed financial professional.
